Scotland’s Financial Services Skills Gateway has recently launched a new website which is a one stop shop for finding out more about working in the financial services industry.
Re:think showcases the wide variety of roles people can go into within the sector (including accountancy!) using a combination of case studies and videos from people working in the financial services industry in Scotland.
AAT shine a spotlight on Scottish salaries
We’ve just published our first ever AAT salary survey and although there may be less AAT students and members north of the border, we’re holding our own when it comes to earning potential.
Coming second only to London in terms of student and member salaries, it’s great to see that the skills AAT staff bring to the workplace are valued highly.

Employers: Are you looking to take on a school leaver to progress through a government funded AAT place?
Kaplan Financial are running their 2nd annual summer school this year between July 26th – 29th 2011, and have been working with schools all over Scotland to recruit the very best students to attend. This takes a large part of the burden of finding a suitable school leaver off employers’ hands.
