What’s new for AAT in 2013? Here’s an update from Regional Account Manager for Scotland, Helen McGougan, on how AAT can help you to up your finance skills.
It’s the start if a new year and many of our Scottish training providers are taking on new AAT students this January, so make sure you sign up fast to get started with your AAT studies in 2013.
You can find their details on our Training Provider page. Some of them may also have funding available to make the journey easier on your post Christmas purse strings.
It’s the first week of autumn, and although ‘summer’ 2012 may have passed us by, the chance to get started with your AAT studies is still there for the taking.
Many of our AAT training providers in Scotland still have places available on their courses for the autumn intake. The following are also offering funded places for those who meet the eligibility criteria through the modern apprenticeship scheme:
- Dundee College, Dundee
- James Watt College, Greenock
- Kaplan Financial, Glasgow
- Microcom Training, Glasgow & Inverness
- Orkney College, Orkney

Following an announcement by the Scottish Government on 15th May 2012 there will be some changes to learner eligibility for ILA Scotland funding and the administration of the scheme – these changes come into effect on 1 July 2012.
There are several streams of funding available for employers and students that can contribute towards the costs, and sometimes fully fund, accountancy training in Scotland. Here’s an overview of what’s available in 2012.
